Open Prayer Request

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Phil 4:6,7

At noon on Friday, June 17, my husband, Trevor, will be undergoing a pretty major operation. Like many surgeries, this procedure has a laundry list of complications attached to it. And because of all the complications he had with a previous surgery, this has left us a bit concerned about this next one.

We have been told that he will be ICU recovery for 1-2 days, in a recovery room for 4-5, and out of work for 4-6 weeks. Outside of open heart surgery, this operation is a pretty big deal.

I'm reaching out to anyone out there who would be willing to pray on behalf of my husband and our family over the next several weeks. Some specific prayer requests include:

1.) Wisdom and alertness for the physicians, nurses and staff who will be operating and assisting in the O.R. with Trevor.

2.) Zero complications from the anesthesia (this is a major concern from his last procedure).

3.) For God to remove the fear and anxiety from us as a family. Specifically for Chloe, our 10 year-old, who is scared for her daddy.

4.) For complete healing and restoration for Trevor.

5.) For a quick and full recovery.

While we are confident that God is in full control, we still remain a little overwhelmed. We serve an amazing, all-powerful God who is merciful and righteous. So we are holding on to these scriptures with all we have...

Isaiah 43:2, "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you."

Deut 31:8, "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."

Psalm 46:1,"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."

Thank you for your willingness to partner with us to pray for Trevor and our family during this time. Your petitions to God on our behalf mean more to me than you will ever know.
